Can you imagine 250 years of liberties and freedom that surpass every other country in the world. We have been blessed. I for one want to say its been a privilege to be born in the greatest country in the world. I hope that it continues for another 250 years. We are excited to be getting ready for our Independence Day Celebrations around the area. From the parades to the family and friends that will gather with us and of course the fireworks that will light up the skies from now until after the 4th of July.
With this said, I would still want to mention the fact that horses, dogs, and other animals are not on the same glory wave we are all on. They get frightened and can react in fear. I would like to caution about leaving horses out in the open if you are near a place where a display of fireworks are planning to be used. We here at HUGS will be bringing in our horses every night just to be safe rather than sorry. We will have our fans cooling them off on hot evenings along with fresh water and hay for them to indulge in. We want them to know they are worthy of a little extra on our holidays especially when it includes loud noises and fireworks. We do the same thing when hunting season comes in the fall. It's better to be safe than sorry. So we will not be displaying any fireworks on the farm this year or any other but that will not stop or stand in the way of going out to a safe area to enjoy the evening.
Stay safe and GOD BLESS AMERICA.
