Here we are another Sunday morning and it's looking good. I am telling you with all this weather change going on it's hard to make plans. We had a week of the 70s with lots of sunshine. I think we jumped the gun a little trying to clean up the horses coming out of winter. Turn on the water and bathed a couple of the boys only to be hit with cold and rain a few days later. I am not sure about your places but around here when it rains we unfortunately find our equine friends standing in a lot of mud, not to mention rolling in it. From the fence line back about 5 feet they have worn the pastures down and with the pacing they create a muddy mess when its wet out there. Over the years I'ved try to come up with ways to improve it but so far they have found ways to destory it. So here we are.

I have to say the weather is not mother nature these days its more like the dark side playing with the weather and us poor humans but we are not going to go there today. Keep spirits up by thinking of the bright side warm weather is on its way. Good news all the barn seen the farrier and all have healthy hooves not thrush in the barn. As far as I can tell no rain-rot either. They have been wormed for the season and we are off to a good start.

We have quite of bit of after winter clean up going on not only in the barn but outside of the barn. The storms hit up and our trees were hit the hardest. A lot of branches came down and even a few trees but over all no major damage just the removal of debris left lying around. It has to come put before we can manage grounds maintenance. Slowly but surely we are trying. So you know we are tired of the storms, the rains, and the mud around here. For goodness sake give us sunshine, no rain and let us get our horses out into pastures and the lawns groomed. We are about ready to ask for volunteers.

So if you are interested in volunteering keep us in mind. Drop me a line!

With that said have a wonderful Sunday. Talk to you soon.
